How to demonstrate and improve your real estate skills to the people in your local property market.

Here are some ideas to help you improve your personal performance in commercial real estate brokerage across sales leasing or property management. Take a look at your property market to understand what's happening with client profiles and investment.

Review the local businesses and investors, to understand what they're doing when it comes to property occupancy and use. Within those two groups of people, you will find different layers of opportunity that you can tap into across sales, buying, and leasing.

Consistency is the best way to get anywhere in commercial real estate brokerage from a listing and commission perspective. Consistently connect with the right people so that you can build your profile, and be available to help them when they reach a property challenge.

Brokerage success in commercial real estate is all about timing and communication. You never really know when a person will need your help when it comes to selling, purchasing, or changing premises. On that basis, you should be connecting with people every day and tracking your activities with the right people in the right way into the future.

Determine who should be your client by type and by investment profile. Connect with that client type into the future consistently and in relevant ways. Prove to the market that you are a top agent with valuable ideas relating to investment and occupancy in commercial property. Build your profile locally and consistently with that target in mind.
